2003 Southwest Safety Fiesta Highlights
Thousands turned out for a festival designed to make families safer and communities stronger. At the Southwest Safety Fiesta, community activists handed out free bicycle helmets to kids and free trigger locks to gun owners. Atop oversize tricycles, kids and adults experienced what it's like to drive drunk, courtesy of special goggles that distort vision, direction, landscape and judgement.
