The Dirty Dozen lists the most persistent trouble spots and unsightly properties in our SW Detroit target area. Youth working with All Saints Neighborhood Center Teen Club created this list to identify specific properties as "priorities" for problem-solving. |
This project seeks to improve the quality of life in
Detroit neighborhoods through working with residents to identify persistent problem
properties and by using civil enforcement strategies, such as code enforcement and nuisance abatement laws. This list of
properties was compiled by the All Saints Neighborhood Center Teen Club working with Wayne State University's Urban Safety Program in November and December of 2003. Youth surveyed over 2,000 properties using handheld computers and GIS/GPS technology.
